I was riding my bike to work earlier this week when I saw them on the curb ... yard debris bags full of beautiful deep plum-brown twigs freshly pruned from a fruit tree. Later that evening, (and many thief jokes later, thanks Ryan + Matt - I think Erin even chimed in...) I drove the Eurovan to Irvington & loaded up two bags - though tempted to re-purpose them all. I thoroughly enjoyed clipping and organizing my new sticks the next lovely, sunny February afternoon. I arranged them in 3 different size square glass vases, which were used at our wedding celebration. I was going to place the largest vase of tall branches in our new studio - but Ryan liked it so much we have it in our living room.

fun with twigs
